As IIT Indore's entry at the TCTD Challenge of 7th Inter IIT Tech Meet organized at IIT Bombay in December 2018., together with the team, we conceptualized, designed and prototyped a universal planter capable of planting all the crops whether it would have seed of sapling or organ of the old plant as the planting element in a short duration of 15 days.

 

It is a unique product based on zero-till farming with all the flexibilities to change inter-row distance, planting depth etc depending upon the requirements to maximize the yield of the crop. And the best thing is it is so simple to be manufactured by village artisans at the minimum cost and with the resources available at their disposal. And it is easily operable by any farmer with minimum technical knowledge. It is totally mechanized product with the lowest maintenance cost.
